Confession: I do some vile shit in hotel rooms
I got this

I only carry my client laptop. Firm laptop stays at home or hotel. Didn't ask permission, just informed everyone that was the only way this would work.
No rest assurance here. :)
Is there some reason you aren't using a rolling bag instead of destroying your shoulders and back?
Might try to rig that up with one of those, a 30L+ backpack, and laptop sleeves with them all in the big compartment.
Thanks!
Doesn’t matter if it’s one laptop. Yes you can file.
Why do you need a personal laptop? I switched my firm laptop to a tablet because I have to carry firm and client. But 3 would still be too many for you.
@D1 It's three separate data security projects at two clients, mostly with tools like DLP and De-Id as well as governance. Luckily, I got out of the fourth laptop after posting because we didn't need the DLP endpoint test station. Still heavy, though.
2 laptops max
Ask the client if they have a VDI solution so you can log into their systems securely using your own or firm laptop. VDI is no more or less secure than carrying a physical machine (unless your actually working air gapped which I doubt).
No VDI solution for one of the clients, second is a mix of VDI and physical due to product performance testing with their in house workstation deployment.
Has this already happened (shoulder) or anticipation, if later go with everyone’s suggestions above... otherwise go for a checkup and start building your case
Cheap is not a sustainable solution. Kenneth Cole Reaction is a rolling bag that fits two laptops easily and fits under an airline seat. I got mine on sale at Staples. Still works after 9 months of heavy travel use.
First, get a rolling bag.
Second, learn about virtual machines.
Failing that, learn about multi-boot configurations.
Next, drop your personal laptop and get an iPad.
First point already taken. The rest is just not reading the original content.
