Looking for objective opinions. I was in a training session today with all men and one other woman. Truth be told, I was by far best there (based on effort, not necessarily natural ability). I’m subletting my room in a 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment. The available room is on the opposite side of the apartment and the biggest of the 3 rooms with a walk-in closet. Completely renovated with new flooring and appliances. Located near Astoria-Ditmars. Rent is $1175/month. The other two roommates females, super clean and friendly. I’m sad to leave them and NY, but I’m moving to be closer to my SO. DM if interested and will send pictures.

Finished lease with two roommates in August. Was cleared by super to get security deposit back. One roommate stayed and got a new lease but mgmt co changed and apparently they have been slow to get it to her. They are now saying they won’t give us back our deposit until September because she still lives there. Our lease ended so not sure why that is relevant. Is this legal? I don’t want to let them drag this out
