Interviewed with Apple Nov, 2020 and NEVER heard back from the recruiter. Now another (much nicer) recruiter reached out with the same position and they want to expediate the interview very quickly. Is this like a bad trap? Why do they keep opening the position if this role is great?

Is Microsoft hiring freeze still going on? I attended interviews in June end for SDE opening in Azure & cleared it. Post which I got to know that the position went to on hold & dint hear back anything from HR. Do they even come back once the freeze is lifted? Does it make sense to wait?

Yo! I’m going into my final year in ad school and my dream has always been to live and work in NYC (I’m from northern Europe). Most of the people i talk to recommend staying in Europe where I can have more responsibility early on and spend less time doing boring junior stuff and then leave for a mid role after a few years. Preparing for a final round interview at Meta and the recruiter mentions they’ve instilled a Product Design “hiring freeze” effective until August.

I’m still interviewing, but if I make it through, they can’t actually hire me until this freeze subsides.

Is this a red flag? Likelihood it actually is lifted in August? If it’s economy based, I would be surprised if by August the market is better not worse.
