You would need to research his record as governor on your own and see if you agree or disagree with his policies. You will get the same right or left leaning opinions on this forum that you will get anywhere else. I suggest you find some neutral sources and form your own opinion.
Watch him give an interview- he seems pretty genuine and legit. He’s a regular guy whose not filling his pockets and the pockets of his friends and family with money money money. He doesn’t appear to be a power grab either, and isn’t providing favors to lobbyists/oil companies/other countries and such.
Free breakfast and lunches for all kids. Even during the pandemic, kids got free food. He likes animals and adopted a rescued cat and a rescued dog. In the 1990s he used GIS with a class to input information and predict where the next genocide would occur; they determined it would be Rwanda, and the next year it came true. (This story was verified by several kids in the class.) He took a class to a rally for a Republican candidate, but one of his kids had a sticker (not a shirt or overt display) for Kerry and they refused to allow him to enter the rally. Walz was upset, said he had a whole class to see the political process, asked questions, etc., but no entry. As a result, he ran for Congress with his students helping raise money for him, and he won.
I have never met him, but MN has been humming along for his terms, and I’ve heard he is a genuine guy. Was he late to bring in the NG during the riots? Yeah, but it’s unrealistic to expect perfection from anyone, especially when calling in the NG could have gone either way (more riots cuz of NG was a real possibility). As long as a person learns from their mistakes (like he did from the 30-year-old DUI), then I’m good.
I love him. He’s kind and strong. Children adore him. He changes lives for the better. He is a soldier, a teacher, a coach who has dedicated his life to helping others and works of service. He’s one of us. Who could possibly be better to serve the middle class…to serve us?
He abandoned his unit before they were deployed to Afghanistan. He is claiming higher rank than he earned saying he’s a commander major sergeant when he’s not that rank. He says he fought in Afghanistan with “weapons of war” when he never even went. Military veterans are accusing him of “Stolen Valor.” He passed laws/signed executive orders to put tampons in boys bathrooms, make Minnesota a sanctuary state for minors to go there without their parent's consent to have sex changes, so if a parent tried to get their child back it would be against the law, abortion up until birth and sometimes after birth, sanctuary state for abortion, he ordered the police to stand down during the George Floyd riots, mayor repeatedly begged for help from national guard and walz denied him, more than 1500 businesses suffered an estimated $500 million in damages and they received no state or federal assistance to rebuild, 130 police officers were injured. He said socialism is being neighborly, Licenses for all illegal immigrants and automatically registering them to vote in our elections, Set up a hotline to snitch on your neighbors during Covid, he simps for China - the Chinese Communist Party,
Vote wisely.

Good stuff MN, I guess I didn't think about local elections.
Signed legislation giving free college tuition to students whose families make less than 80K a year, he created the first standards boards for nursing and home workers, that same board set their minimum wage at 23.00/hr starting in 2027, legalized marijuana, expunged the record of misdemeanor weed convictions, loan forgiveness for nurses. So much good he's done🥰
Jill Biden was a teacher.
Still is. I think hes done great things in Minnesota. Hes pro labor, including teachers unions (he was in one), he signed into law a bill that gives every student free breakfast and lunch. He served in the ARmy NG for 24 years honorably and had the hughest rank of anyone ever serving in congress. He is beloved by his neighbors.
I listened to some former students talk about him last night. Sounds like a great guy.
He's a veteran, former public school teacher, former high school football coach, worked in Congress for 12 years, supported by unions, signed a law guaranteeing free breakfast and lunch for all Minnesota school kids, enacted up to 20 weeks up paid family and medical leave,
Why do we have to bash a teacher, a coach, and, a veteran to boot! What do we want from a public servant? He is not a billionaire and therefore he’s thinking middle class. And while I’m still learning about him, I sure do like to his smile, his energy, and his vibe. I like that he is all about looking after your neighbor and spreading joy -

That’s really is a stretch. Our district was open in the fall of 2020 and face to face. Did it help behaviors- nope bc a major pandemic was still occurring and ppl were still dying. Opening earlier imo, didn’t move the needle that much.
My husbands aunt and uncle live in MN and absolutely love him! His aunt was a public school teacher his uncle retired navy. They say he is smart, caring, solid committed family man and has a track record of supporting public school teachers and students ! I have no reservations and didn’t know much about him either until now.
Thanks for sharing

Yep!
So being a Veterans wife of 32 years and have 4/5 of my kids join the military and serve, my biggest issue is the lies he is telling about his 24 years of service in the Army National Guard. He is riding the line of stolen valor when you claim a different rank than the one you retired at. He is claiming Command Sgt Major not the Master Sgt he retired at. He did not complete the required school nor did he serve long enough in that position. He was put in that CSM position as a "frock" (in name only) until he fulfilled the requirements. As a leader he would have found out about the "soon to be deployment" to Iraq and he decided to put his retirement papers in, instead of leading his group of soldiers to war and many are very vocal on how they feel about that. Now he also claims that he carried a "weapon of war" in combat. He did not. He was "deployed" to a non combat place in Italy for a time. I have not seen for how long. It could have been a week or a. few months. The only medal he earned in 24 years of service was an ARCOM. The lowest and EASIEST medal to get. Take this statement for what it is, I think the Harris campaign made a huge mistake in choosing this man. Veterans should and will not put up with that BS.
Absolutely gaslighting. Perhaps written by a Russian misinformation person.
He he so like us. He is such a good guy who is happy to be what he is. And I love the line he has repeated. “Freedom to the GOP is freedom to go to your doctor's office. Freedom to us is we may not make the same choices but we respect them and our golden rule is "mind your own damn business."
Yes! MYOB and Were Not Going Back! It’s a winning strategy to me.
Little known fact*. He not only taught in China for a year but also got married in China.
I didn’t know that. Was he there teaching English? I have heard that used to be a great way to make a lot of money and it was a great situation for the teachers.

ActiVote is a great resource in general for finding out both about candidates and your own political views.
I will take your word for it, but I’m not fully convinced. It’s clear that you see plenty of reason for your stance and I respect that. I apologize for my flippancy. Cheers!
Not false. All verifiably true. Look it up.

Well, at least one of your claims is obviously false without needing to do any research at all.
Overtly trying to register ANY immigrants to vote, documented or undocumented, would be blatantly illegal and unconstitutional.
There is no way a public official would promote or actually try to implement such a policy, as it would end their career and possibly result in prison time.
Now, this doesn't automatically mean that the rest of your claims are false, but it does give me a big reason to doubt their veracity even if I was not already familiar with the situation.

Let’s see the receipts first before we jump to any sort of conclusions. I’m really tired of reading the “S/HE DID WHAT?!?!” that later turns out to be, “Well, that’s what I think anyway” or “That’s what someone told me.” Journalists don’t have the resources to really dig as they once did and rely instead on “gotcha moments” or “unnamed sources.” It’s just mudslinging/yellow journalism for today.
Wow, some of you can't take the truth. Anybody care to share what you thought broke the rules?
I would definitely get your own in this case. With politics being what it is, you are more likely to get what someone else likes and values versus the things you like and value … in a political candidate.
Get my own what? I don’t understand.

What a weird article to post. Sure, he received criticism for keeping schools closed longer; anyone who closed schools even for a day received criticism. All the data on the decline and reading and absenteeism and other skills has been nationwide, not just in Minnesota. And you’re using the political opposition to give opinion and not fact. I wouldn’t accept that in a classroom and I hope you wouldn’t either.
