Can I hear from some moms who used a snoo? Baby is almost 8 weeks and I only get about 3 hours on our first stretch then she has such a hard time staying asleep the rest of the night. I’ve tried comforting her with a pacifier (that she spits out almost immediately), dream feeding, locking it on 2, kicking it up to 3, swaddling in the snoo sac, warming the snoo with a heating pad. Nothing is working and I feel like death.

Have you tried talking to the happiest baby team? Also any reason why you’re not letting it go to level 4? I found that helped my baby. Also look up the rice and towel tricks or double swaddling to see if that would help. The SNOO mamas group on Facebook also had a lot of tips I found helpful (even if the admin is a bit odd and tends to overshare).

I use the snoo with my almost 8 week old as well and she’s getting about 3 hours at a time x 3 for a total of 10 hours at night with breastfeeding breaks in between. This is our second kid, she is actually doing so much better than our first did at this age! Maybe it’s the snoo but maybe it’s not; there is no magic bullet that works for all babies and I believe it’s very developmentally appropriate for babies at this age to not be sleeping long stretches. Hang in there! Sleep-envy is very common. What “works” for us is taking shifts at night (although to be fair since we’re breastfeeding I’m always awake but during my husband’s shifts, he’ll do the diaper change and resettle our daughter and zip her up in the snoo, put my haakaa’ed milk in the fridge downstairs, etc.) and going to bed as soon as possible after the baby goes to bed. It sucks as we barely have any time to ourselves but it’s for a short while and I’m hopeful she’ll figure out those longer stretches soon. For now, we just let the snoo help when it can, feed the baby when she wakes, and minimize noises / light at night so that she can settle back quickly after a feed.

Double swaddle with the Ollie, get a second sound machine (like the Hatch), watch for appropriate wake windows during the day, keep trying to soothe with the pacifier for a bit before feeding.

I’m pregnant!? And I’m getting a job offer tomorrow. I need to know a million things like their insurance packages (I really want to keep my Kaiser insurance) and whether they offer paid leave before the one year FMLA mark. What else do I need to know? How do I ask all this stuff? How concerned should I be about disclosing my pregnancy considering I just tested positive, and I barely know these people?

Alternate history: Simone continues on, manages not to break her neck, but absolutely s**ts the bed and is criticized for taking the US off the podium when knew she wasn't on her game.

Hey mommas - My baby is 14 weeks old and I haven't gotten my period back yet. I'm worried I'm pregnant again. When did you get your period back? For context, I'm breastfeeding but not exclusively (I am pumping and nursing as much as I can though). I've been on the pill since 6 weeks and my husband used condoms for the first few weeks once we started again. Surprisingly, I can't find anything online that's helpful. Any sense of a timeframe would be tremendously anxiety-reducing!

Might be a paranoid mom question - my 16 month old is starting daycare next week. So far, I’ve had virtual interviews/meet and greet sessions with the daycare staff. Today we went in for our in-person orientation and I noticed that my child is the only non-white kid in his class of 8. Not entirely shocking, but in my head (and having seen pictures in their catalog) I was hoping there would be a little more diversity. Should I be worried about my kid feeling left out because he looks different?
