HI folks,
My current CTC is very low with respect to my YOE. CTC : 5.2 lpa
YoE : 4
Tech stack : Python , MLops
But now my manager has initiated H1B visa for me and the visa process is in progress.
Is it worth to wait till the H1B process completes to work in U.S (74k package) (or) should i make a switch immediately. ?

Hi all! I am former federal government. I resigned due to lack of opportunities and growth. I am interested in a couple of Apple service roles within Pay, Care and SDS. Also, Amazon PM roles under Music, Live Sports and Brand Protection. However, with to the current economic conditions is it smarter to focus on fed roles versus Tech. I’ve never had a Tech role. I have a BS Mechanical Engineering and MBA. Any advice would be appreciated.
Collection is coming along. Happy Friday!

Sure. If you're getting paid for it, say by way of using up unused vacation before you switch firms. Or if your new firm will begin your paycheck earlier which I doubt it will. Otherwise, you cannot be in the US during that one week off. No pay = no stay in the US unless there's an emergency like hospitalization etc that you can explain with proof to uscis.

I think thats fine as long as you don’t accumulate more than the max unemployment days on h1b. But also check with your legal team

This is BS! Your analogy is incorrect. Unemployment days are unemployment days irrespective of if you are laid off or you resigned.
I left my old job on dec 23, and joined the new one on Jan 4. It was 5 years ago. After that I applied for green card (PERM, I140 approved), and several amendments, extensions. No issues so far, and it was not brought up before. Just my experience. Does not mean legal/right.
Talk to your new employer immigration team, and see what they suggest.
Thank you everybody
