Can I take parental leave in the US if my child is born in India before my travel to the US?

I have not taken any parental leave while I was in India and it's been 3 months since the birth of my child.

Rental car third party liability insurance: My credit card covers car insurance, but not third party liability insurance, so I generally get that from the car rental company at about $20 a day. Is there a cheaper way to do it? Recommendations?
