I tried to do the same thing during a project. The partners weren't carrying their weight so the senior partner was going to get me day access to hunt them down and get the project done. Unfortunately, the threat of that happening was enough to motivate them. But you need a high up partner to even get day access.

From past experience, a friend was able to pick me up at DU. They were very strict about my guest not leaving the car, and being on time he next day though

To all the partners/experienced investors, I was recently furloughed and I have been looking for another job but no luck yet. I am thinking of using my spare time to read books about how to invest in stocks. And if possible, I want to start investing ASAP with some of the money saved for emergency. Any recommendations about books to read would be appreciated. Also, do you think Uber and Microsoft are a buy right now? I have read some articles lately speaking highly of the two.

Just got promoted to M but in process of interviewing for industry side (servicenow). Has anyone left as a b4 manager to a non-people managing role in industry? Such as an Engineer (is that equivalent to M?) I know it’s more of a ‘what I want & see my career in 5 years’ type of choice at this point but wondering if anyone has a similar story and can share your experience/thoughts.

Hi Fishes, Y.O.E 7.5+ years. Tata Consultancy TCS is offering 25LPA including variable pay and everything. So just 15% increment on my current salary since they mentioned I am leaving my current organization within 1 year. They mentioned 8-12% is VP plus 80k from that salary is paid at the end of each year. Is it a good enough salary for 7.5+ yoe candidate. Also any heads up for the things I should look out for will be really helpful.

Not sure if I’m being ridiculous but my employer offers free use of SMARTDOLLAR which need me connecting my personal bank, investment, debt accounts. When companies partner with external party like that, is it safe to use without the concern that external party will share my info with my employer?
