I don't think so. It sounds like you're willing to learn, and you can. Just research, and find some writers who you can look up to and learn from their processes. If you already understand at a high level I think you'll be fine.
I'm doing tons of research now, bookmarking successful people/orgs in the firms industry, using my previous experience as a rough guide, and simultaneously going through Hubspots Content Marketing program.
Much of the program I'm finding gives names and a detailed process to what I had previously done organically and what I was instructed to do by my previous boss.
This is great for me as I work better within structured approaches to problem solving or writing content.
You sound like the perfect person to cover more technical topics. I HATE doing those because my creative brain glazes over. Over time and practice you’ll find the topics or niches you excel in.
Similarly I used to work for a lot of automotive suppliers/companies - they’re always looking for people to help engineers do write ups on their technology or submit stuff for patents or awards if you don’t think traditional digital creative content is your thing.
I have experience working in SM with creatives and more administrative types. As much as I love creatives, my natural disposition, they find it difficult to harness content within the timeframes, write educational content and deliver with the consistency SM requires…and the reporting! So go for it- YOU WILL BE GREAT!
# IBM IS it possible to change technology, while working as an Automation tester in IBM. Want to change : automation testing -> Data science. What is the possibility compare to other big MNC IBM ibm
Absolutely! I went from being a teacher to being a full time copywriter

It sounds like you’ll do great! If you’re a good writer, you should be able to apply it to any format/medium.
Thanks for the perspective and reassurance :)
Yes, just practice and develop a portfolio if you can.
