I have have been looking to pivot into a more impactful role this year. I am due for an interview for a Product Manager next week. The company ticks all my boxes but the job description a bit vague. EY 1- talks a lot but nobody is listening.
DB 1 - Barclays 1’s little brother
JPM 1 - goldman 1 less attractive friend
Managing Director - is probably an associate at best
McKinsey 1 - wears tight colored maroon pants
Pwc 1 - made it to UBC video interview and got extremely nervous

Hey! I work at a healthcare start up and I earn $95k an year as a Software Engineer II based out on Austin, TX. Recently I interviewed with Visa, Austin and got an offer for the Senior Software Engineer role with base - $125k and a sign on bonus - $10k which totals to $135k overall comp. When I tried negotiating the base salary they said that the comp team isn’t budging on it due to team metrics and my experience (2.5 years as SDE). Is this a good offer to take?

Experienced hire Manager here, informed before Christmas that I’ll be taking another lap but not because of performance (5/5 on scats and all operating at next level) or metrics (22mm in MR) but the only reason is I need more time in the “saddle”… During this time, I’ve been replying to recruiters and after a PPMD interview last week, I was offered an SM role at a smaller firm with a base pay increase of 45% (225k) over my current salary.
