I have a formula that returns a value of any cell in that row is blank otherwise it says error. However I only want the formula to apply if any of the cells in the row are populated. Help?

For example I imagine inputting parameters that I want X,Y and Z’s shared available open time within the next 2 weeks for example. I’m trying to do a crosswalk of sorts. Look up a GL account number in one cell in an array and bring back a number from a specified column. Not having great luck with a vlookup. Can’t remember the exact rules (order, etc.) is there an easier way?

How can I pull the text before a certain set of characters?

I have a date I need to match to an array of strings (that represents dates). Eg matching 6 nov 20 to (20201106, 20201107, etc. ). I can convert my date into this format using text(date,”yyyymmdd”) but then my lookup tried to match “20201106” with that list and the “ causes a mismatch. Any hints, and I would prefer not to change the array format?
