Can someone compare the pros and cons of MBB vs. FAANG+M? How does each shape your career? How are MBA opportunities from each?

I hear G has a great tool for something like this.

FAANG has exponentially larger compensation when you factor in the inevitable stock appreciation and yearly refreshers. You’ll work 40 hrs on average and rarely ever go past 50 hours even at the difficult places like amazon, Netflix or Facebook. There’s just no comparison imo. MBB has better prestige outside of tech circles but idk if you wanna be working for those old dinosaur companies. One exception is health and finance but you don’t need MBB to break in these.

That’s true. I guess I’m comparing the consultants in SF/NYC/LA with FANG. You can live a much better lifestyle in Houston on a smaller comp

Which roles at FAANG? Tends to be a wide variety of roles over there vs client facing consultants at MBB...

I’m pretty new to exploring the area, so a broad overview of the main types of roles would be great, especially ones that consultants transition to frequently.

I am currently working on SAP CPI,PIPO,CPI-DS (basically Integration as a whole) development (also attend Support issues regularly) with experience of around 1 year. My leads are quite happy with my works.

For career growth, what shall be my ideal path ahead?
1. Only concentrate on Integration
2. Continue Integration for some years, then switch to Functional modules (in this case, after how many years should I ideally switch)

And what shall be the ideal time to switch companies?

Boutique or big 4?

I'm currently an ops manager at a big 4 in London and received an offer from a small boutique firm with 25-30% pay rise.

I'm also in the process with Accenture but I feel like I'm not sure if I'd jump just for the money but also change in environment.
What type of things would you be asking yourself if you were in my shoes and debating to jump ship?
