Stock; Apple stock. index; s&p 500. Etf; QQQ. Then you have your derivative products like options, futures, structured products, CBs, etc. idk why don’t you just investopedia, it’s quite helpful.
When someone tells you they have a “product” you should buy, be careful and watch your wallet.
Wall Street has had a long history of profitable products. Many are profitable only to the broker selling it.
You want to look for an investment not a product.
Equity products can be extremely complex and are continuing to evolve. You have your common vanilla stock, which is the foundation but I’d recommend a beginners guide (WSJ has a good one) to help provide the basics.
