The first title is your "status and compensation title" and the second is operational. so a VP/GAD is statused as a VP and has VP expectations, with the operational responsibility of a group account director. Same for like EVP/MD and other iterations.

Same, I'm a SAD on a "group" of accounts under the same master brand, but there are plenty of multiaccount media-side people with other levels Short answer to OPs question is "it depends"

like

It completely depends. Obviously in the examples you provided, the Group level person has higher responsibilities and compensations than the Account director.

At most large agencies only people VP or higher have signatory authority on contracts (& only people SVP or higher have signatory authority on certain contracts and/or breaks in protocol). So while it also denotes status/is s good benchmark for comp, a lot of it is so you have an internal indicator as to who can sign off on what.

Being a VP, SVP, EVP or Managing Partner are Mgmt tiers. But Account Director or Creative Director or Human Sources Director describe your department and function within it.

How do you handle attraction in the work place. During my summer internship I was really attracted to this girl I shared a office with. She was way out of my league so I didn't even attempt to ask her out or anything. Plus you don't hookup where you vlookup. During one of the days she wore a really short skirt and I got a bit aroused. Since my housing was really close, during lunch I went home and fixed the issue. How do you handle being aroused at work?
