The problem with D is that a lot of people leaving is not because of money. Yeah some do get 30-40% raise but that is not big in long term. The reason most people are leaving is the reason why most people loved Deloitte in the first place. The culture, the empathy, growth opportunity, leadership transparency and true focus on employee well being. That all is slowly going away. Anyone who has been here more than 5 years can relate to it.
The direction now is lets try and compete with traditional Indian IT companies.
Seconded! Been here for almost 5 years now. D used to soar like an eagle but since the past 2 years is morphing into an ordinary housefly.
Leadership has failed to recognize talents. Moreover, you are made to believe that you have to contribute outside of project to be an expection. Even after doing that, you will come to realize that you are no exception and are in the same pool as other people. There are people in lower positions who have talent and work more than counterparts in higher position. But still not being recognized for all hardwork pains at the end a lot
Statistically D is growing better than ever. It's an industry wide phenomenon of attrition nowadays.
WLB totally depends on your assignment and your ability to handle things and say No to extra work. Perks and hikes are still better than any other competitor firm.
Always keep in mind, D is still the go to destination for the new top talent
Deloitte might not be the same as earlier. But it is even worse outside. I don't know how many will agree to this. But this is only my opinion.
Pro
Many people are leaving for good pay, WlB and other criteria as well! But there is no such thing like D will not give hike in 2022, this year will be a regular performance cycle this time! D just reached 50billion in revenue and are doing remarkably well , so expect good hike and bonus! Let no one put all these crap stuff into your head!

Today we got email for the performance cycle will be in June !!
Tum zra aao dm mein smjhate hai, bhool k bhi na join krna re Deloitte...

True...
I will provide you the honest answer.
Market is too strong to give whopping amount from all large, mid and small employer. Hence people are leaving to get 80%-100% hike . This is one time opportunity. Rest all reasons are useless.
wlb will be 2nd priority if salary jumps 100% -its human psychology.
Hi Buddy, sorry for going off topic here.. i want to join Deloitte USI, where can I see job openings? Can you help me?

@deloitte 7 I'm In the process of learning to get skilled enough actually...
The compensation is not definitely matching the work that you need to do in D. I don't think i had more than few days where i was able to take a break during my working hours.

True.
if leaders role out survey today, this point will come out as most important factor of employee disengagement
Leaving an organisation depends on individual decision and reasons vary from person to person like Hike, growth,Promotion,WLB etc., Coming to appraisals, FY22 hikes will be given mostly as per regular cycle I.e., September.
Pro
I am making 3X yoe here! And others are making more and less as well, pay is subjective to so many other factors and can not be generalised! Work is definitely challenging and work life balance could be a problem!
Mine is not even 1.5 x yoe, problem with Deloitte is even the organization is same, Hikes/salary/bonus varies from team to team. There will be so much of difference in pay between team to team.

Everyone is leaving evey other firm and Deloitte is no exception. Feel free to join Deloitte.

And feel free to resign from deloitte
I left Deloitte a month back. Technical knowledge growth -yes, work culture/ethics/leadership - total sheet, there is nothing like management, most of the middle management is bossy and ppl leave under fear

I totally agree with you, great leader already left or leaving. They cant afford true leader because of less salary bands.
Only those leader stayed who are just surviving by networking.
SM layer wants more work done to get moved to next level, MD wants more FI so they can either show USI value add or more sale.
Employee welfare is just show off. With too much work and daily extra work hours employee welfare is not possible.
If leaders truly wanted employee welfare they could have initiated global statement that no employee will work more then 9 hours. They could have also provided lucrative benefits for employees who work more then 9 hours.
Deloitte leaders forgot, they have to pay premium if they want premium. 3-5 years back deloitte was better pay master so they were getting good leaders now they are not paying premium they are getting average skilled employees.

Also, many are complaining that the pay is less. But is it so with very complex work like how it will be in tech giants?
Chief
Pay is not less. It varies remarkably at same job level and for people with same years of experience. This is one of the many reasons why people leave Deloitte.
I heard news D is opening offices of US at kolkata, chennai, is it true?
Yes, but the operational date is yet to be decided
People are leaving Deloitte because there is huge openings for laterals in the market and people are easily getting minimum 30% hike which is more than the average hike people gets during appraisal. Moreover not only Deloitte same is happening in other IT companies as well. Dont only see how many people are leaving also check how many are joining to understand real situation
