How different is the actual work content at MBB vs. Big 4? I don't enjoy work I am doing right now (PMI/Tech Implementation), but wondering if I should try for MBB before moving to industry.
Any recommendations of recruiters for big 4 experienced seniors in NYC? Recruiters for international candidates would be an added advantage. TIA

In the final round of interview with a San Fran startup that’s about to go IPO... but I know I’d be also giving up lots of the structures & project flexibility & diversity offered here at big 4. What rationale would you use to make a decision?
Is the career progression and exit opp better in credit rating at the big 3 credit rating agencies (S&P, Moody’s, and Fitch) or in big 4 consulting / financial advisory practice? - I’m asking broadly for entry level roles
Currently have 5 YOE in IT advisory at big 4, looking to exit to tech. Any recommendations for potential roles to take given experience is not heavily in tech? Have any other former big 4 alumni found the switch to be difficult?

Hi, looking for some thoughts. Our son will be 3 next September 2022 and we are enrolling him in pre-school. There is a half- day option till 12:30 and a full day option till 3pm. Is the 3pm program too long for a 3 year old or is he missing out by not being there for a full day? We also have a nanny for our younger child so don’t necessarily need him to be there all day
Question for immigrating generation parents or people with traditionally conservative mindsets raising daughters in this country. How have you reconciled your traditional mindset and perhaps ideas on conservative dressing, piercings, ink etc with a daughter who is increasingly interested in it and headed into her teens. I do think body positivity is important but I'm also stuck maybe a generation behind where it comes to looking professional. What was your approach? (im the father if it matters)
(First ever post) I originally I joined this app to learn from others in consulting on a variety of topics (gender perspectives, comp, tips/ recommendations). Ever since downloading, I see more hatred and people making judgements on others with little context. Consultants are supposed to problem solvers but instead of people sharing perspectives I feel I’m back on Twitter reading threads that only create hate. Anyone else feel that way?
Are target funds not a great option for 401k? Should I switch to 100% equity ETFs? I think my target fund is about 7% bonds and I am fairly early in my career.
Do any firm/office LGBT organizations recognize / incorporate intersectionality in their strategy and initiatives? I.e collaborating with other professional networks such as Latino, black professional networks, etc (overall diversity and inclusiveness) If so - would love to hear how!
Does Nuna Rava ever go on sale? I regret buying uppa baby mesa which my baby grew out of in 9 months (very few usage during COVID) 💸 I didn’t know that I could have gotten nuna rava with infant insert.

My one month old has horrible painful gas. When I spoke to our pediatrician he recommended that I space out his breast-feeding schedule to help with the gas. It really hasn’t done much and his gas is still pretty bad to the point of him crying screaming and he can’t sleep on his back I literally have to sleep with him on my chest in order for him to sleep. any tips on how to help relieve the gas
Leading all-male team. What’s a nice way of saying “Read the background materials, branding docs & myriad other documentation before asking questions because I am not your mother/reference librarian”?
If you give notice on the bench are you usually shown the door? Or do they let you ride out the 2 weeks?
Resume gap: My position will be abruptly end in December (was informed this week). However, I won't be interview ready in the next 2 weeks. So how bad does a gap of 1-2 months appear to tech recruiters? Common knowledge is it is a disadvantage to the candidate from a salary negotiation process. I'm also told hiring decisions at places like AWS & GCP take time and it might be a few months before an offer letter is received.
Which brands are killing diversity and inclusion right now? They all won’t be Nike-Kaepernick but would love to know who else is implementing meaningful, measurable work.
Thinking of moving from consulting to program management for a software company. I have 6 years working experience and an MBA. I was offered 124k as a base and 12% annual bonus. No sign on bonus or equity. Thoughts on this offer?
I am looking to gain certification or other credentialing in diversity and inclusion, not only because it would look good on my resume both for future job-search purposes and also to become better educated in this area, which is growing in importance. I looked at SHRM's "Inclusive Workplace Culture Specialty Credential" and got a bit of "sticker shock" at the cost - $1,655.00 for members. Does anyone have other suggestions on training/credentialing in this area?
So much more rested, with MORE TIME and energy to focus on other important priorities WFH will be forever like how Twitter, Facebook, Google, etc have already established
Trying to not obsessively check back on this channel in the Booth slack (I’m joined as an SO)
