Barclays because in GDS you'll be working for EY teams sitting at onsite locations who deal directly with clients. In terms of learning i believe it would be very low in EY but Barclays on the other hand would give you a good exposure on the domain and is a good bank. As far as language is concerned, you might have a little difficulty with the locals but manageable in Chennai. Most of the time you'll be dealing with private employees who will know English and it won't be a hinderance. Food can be a little bit of an issue.
Chennai is also cheaper and well maintained with less pollution
Growth would be quite similar until and unless you're a very social guy who has a number of friends trying to work on their own startups or ideas otherwise Chennai and Bangalore don't make a difference.
Plus Chennai has got beaches 👀

It would be helpful for the people also if you can share your years of experiences and domain skills so that people can really help to suggest you what will be the right option
As someone working at Barclays and interacting with a Chennai on a daily basis.
Ey, Barclays culture is a toxic mess. Plus layoffs are soon to occur
