Firm i am interviewing with is a midsize firm. I have 3 years of complex lit experience, they do simple property law. They need me for pre-lit only. No interviewers were able to discuss compensation, so they set me up with a phone call with the owner today. Owner never called.

Part of me wants to send a passive agressive email telling them no thanks because they do not respect my time and another part of me wants to be understanding.

Trying to apply for another position at the same company but my boss told me explicitly that if they find out people on our team are looking for other jobs, they will stop giving that person raises, promotions, bonuses, & access to opportunities. I have spoken with the hiring manager for the new position and he just asked me if I have notified my current manager. Not sure how to navigate this tricky situation. Was hoping to interview before having to tell my manager that I am applying. Ideas?

I have 2 offers for role of Engineering Manager
1) BrowserStack - 54 lpa + stocks
2) MasterCard- 55 lpa

MasterCard is paying slightly higher than BrowserStack but there are no stock options. BrowserStack is giving me stock options.

Which one should I pick?

Best way to show this on a resume? Worked in consulting. Got an exit offer which I accepted, then was promoted before I gave notice and left, so I had like one month officially in the higher role. Been with the new (other) company since. Do I just put the higher role that I left at on my resume? I obviously don’t have any tangible bullets to put there if I broke out the two roles separately on my resume.

Hi, I finished my onsite last week and recruiter reached out today saying we’re finalizing the interviews with candidates for the role , and should be in a position to make a final decision on who to progress with by end next week. I am assuming they meant progressing to HC. Does that mean I didn’t do as bad so as not to be outright rejected and not great to move to HC directly :(

How to get Google to move faster in the interview process? I just finished final rounds at another FAANG today and expect a decision by the end of the week. I told my recruiter and she said ‘we can try to move faster when you have an offer’, but I don’t think the other FAANG will give me that much time to make a decision. I had a question for you all. Do interviewers give their feedback and rating (or score) before your “package” being sent to HC? And if there is a bad or lower rating in one of your interview, does the “package” still get sent to HC knowing that it may not pass (60% possibility).

Do interview questions at google, especially for S&O roles lean more towards asking about past experience (tell me about a time when) or hypothetical (what if abc happened)? I don’t have a strategy / ops background (I’m coming from finance) but I’ve studied a lot of case studies etc and think I could do great in hypothetical and case study questions. But maybe not the past experience questions, because I just haven’t run into all these scenarios

What’s the typical timeline between an on-site interview with multiple members to receiving feedback? Recruiter has been very responsive until after my on-site happened two weeks ago, when I was told I would hear back within the next week or so. I understand things drag on for eternity at Google but would be nice to at least know if I didn’t pass 🥲

What’s typical success rate/time spent in team match if I’m team and location flexible? For product operations if thats relevant
