Can someone help on the best way to secure a job as a new graduate. It’s been so hard to secure a job as most companies ask for years of experience.

To be honest, the job market isn't great right now but continue to apply every day online and reach out to everyone in your network and ask them about any referrals or open positions. I found my position because I reached out to an old contact on LinkedIn.

And the job alert ma keep coming in, but when you apply nothing happens

Have you considered starting with volunteering and internships programs

That sounds like a plan tbh

Have you considered an internship? Good way to get your foot in the door and make sure you like the future position, too.

It's kind of hard to say for right now, because the job market has been a little wonky. It's hard for people with years of experience to land a job right now. It is expected to get better around February/

Network as much as you can with your peers and teachers. Ask your peers who have landed a job, how they did so. You can also ask your teachers if they have anyone in their network that has a job opening.

Let me know if you need a referral

Thoughts on the below role?

Got messaged about an analyst job doing the preliminary discovery stuff including dashboards. But not for the business, but to give recommendations to data scientists about where to focus. Having been a modeling DS, I can't imagine why I'd outsource exploratory analysis. Anyone seen a team like this before?

Also worried about career prospects. I've been wanting to turn business facing, but becoming the only DA on a DS team seems like it'd be a dead end with promos?

Is my comp fair for a I/O Psych Master’s degree? I came in with about 1.5 YoE and started as a HC Consultant at 85k with 3k bonus. My new comp after 6 mos is 91.6k (w/AIP it will be around 96k at the end of the year). After talking with a few new consultants who worked here as interns (2-3 years) and don’t have grad degrees they are making around $96k BEFORE the adjustment.

Shouldn’t my grad degree be worth more? Let me know if I’m over thinking it!
