First day back on the job after paternity leave. Never had a harder time leaving the house than this morning...
I’m a lazy investor and don’t want to think about my money, so I invest my Roth IRA and 401K into a Vanguard target fund (2065). Should I be doing more with my money?
Thoughts on Grey NY health teams (I know everyone has mixed feelings on pharma in general) specifically the account departments?
I worked at a large insurance defense firm for 4 years out of law school. I really enjoyed the work itself, but the hour expectations kept increasing and I was getting burnt out. I decided to try a new type of law and have been at the new firm 3 months. I have way less responsibilities and none of my own cases. I’m worried this was a wrong move/too far of a step backwards. I know I don’t see myself here long term, but I’m not sure how long I need to stay to avoid looking like a job hopper—help!
Thoughts on moving in-house at the end of maternity leave from Big Law? Will it burn bridges at my firm? I’m a mid-level currently on leave, and was just offered a position with a high-growth sister company of one of my firm’s largest clients. A part of me thinks that my practice group leader will be happy to have me there to bring future business his way, but another voice in my head says I’m just fooling myself and that resigning after a 20-week leave is bound to piss people off.
I started as a life agent with insurance license and series 6. Looking at getting my 7 and 66 to become more of a true advisor and less of a salesperson. Could really use a seasoned mentor on (cont'd)
As someone with a background in the military, is it worth it to try to go back to the government as a tax analyst or senior tax analyst for the Dept of the Treasury? I'm wondering if I'll have an edge in getting hired as I've been at the GS-13 level before I left the military and I'm hoping I can use that time in service to add to a pension time requirement in the government.
I was told I wasn’t going to have my contract renewed next year. I know I’ll get paid through August, but what about my insurance? Will that go through August too?
Has anyone made the move from the States to Europe with healthcare consulting? What are the big players in management consulting in Europe?
Do you guys have insurance for your watches? Would you take your insured watches traveling to toursity locations?

Need to get the f out for my health and sanity. Small market issues finding something else.
Anyone receive an offer & negotiate a start date months down the road to take advantage of a better maternity leave policy, or any other reason? Wondering how many months is reasonable to ask for.
401K Question - Very Confused. Just came to US and will be here for about 4 Years. Firm matches 25% of first 6% employee down. Some say, upon withdrawal, have to 40% tax/penalty / others say .. Contin
Moms, do your LOs have strong preference over solids than breast milk / formula? I started mine on solids a few weeks ago and she’s been not wanting to drink as much formula. I’m worried about her not getting enough nutrients and considering giving her baby yogurt to supplement.
I live in Cali and I have just been made a CS team lead. I'd like to renegotiate my salary in the future and I've read Team Leads make on average $26/h... But can make up to 36. Is that true? Ty!
My Senior keeps giving me (A1 newhire) vague and conflicting information for what they want me to work on. I just got moved to this client a week and a half ago to help out with filing, and am expected to go off a simple look at X section and figure it out. Just stresses me out a ton and feel like I cant assist with anything legit. Ill ask for clarifications but it just seems like im going in circles. Were supposed to be filing next Friday and its not looking up.
Do any big 4 offer tuition assistance?
Analytics folks at a MBB, what’s your experience been like? What level would I come in at with 8 years of experience?
How likely is it for an analyst at a top economic consulting firm to lateral into an MBB or even a top 5 strategy consulting firm?

Do top 10 schools generally fly you out for interviews? Or are they mostly Skype? Or do you have to pay your way to interview in person? Does it depend on the school?
I got an email last night from a 7th-grade parent because her son said I mentioned the words "male privilege" in class, and she is very concerned about how that is related to ELA (she said "reading"), and she is concerned about this being taught in public schools. To be clear, I didn't do a lesson on this subject but we did discuss rights versus privileges. I've had multiple parents contact the school/get upset with me because of things like his. It's exhausting... Thoughts?
Nothing quite like joining a project and not doing a lick of work for the first few days 🙌
How expensive a house would you buy/feel comfortable buying? TC 350k (California). 700k NW (300k liquid / saved. 400k in retirement). No other debt. Pretty moderate lifestyle currently (on monthly take home of 11-12k (from salary only) spend about 5k a month (incl 2500 in rent) and generally good about lifestyle creep lately so can plan to keep spending (outside of the house / mortgage) down. Thoughts? Thanks!
I have to say that when I started as an analyst, I thought I was going to hate working in healthcare. Now I love it. So many ways for us to *actually* impact people's lives.
