Can someone please explain the Accenture MD model? I know that there are 4 general levels with 4 sub-levels each, but not much more....

Thanks in advance

The four MD levels are the first four levels in the 12 (?) level Accenture career model. Level 1 are typically have global scope (e.g. global functional, industry, or geography lead), level 2s typically have local leadership responsibilities (e.g. North America lead of X, smaller country leads, large account leads), level 3s are typically small account leads or large account portfolio leads (e.g. a client's division), and level 4s typically manage a large program or have some domain-specific expertise. Sales quotias increase commiserate with level. Sub-levels at Accenture are called progression points and indicate seniority within a level and are some indicator of comp.

Recruiters or RC's

There is a company that I want to apply to and I see opportunities on LinkedIn that interest me. I’m also working with a recruiter. It’s close to where I live and she knows where I live but she hasn’t recommended it. I’m guessing she doesn’t have a network with the company. Should I ask her to represent me or should I apply directly myself? What advice do you have? What are the pros and cons?

This is my third firm in three years (first I left as I was severely underpaid, second I left for a 100k increase in salary), but this lack of respect for my boundaries has made me want to move again once I’ve completed 18 mos. Bad? They don’t do this to the other associates (all male).

Is there a general expectation that a Partner has an MBA?

I doubt it's required at most firms but I'm a pretty senior staff and when I speak with Partners, they seem to speak with an MBA level of business knowledge which extends past their technical skillset.

I realize that's what makes them good Partners but it makes me wonder if I realistically need to get an MBA to keep growing and hit Partner.
