Hi All, need suggestion in choosing new opportunity & role. Currently working as AWS Engineer with 6.5 YOE. Having opportunities: 1. AWS Developer -Deloitte USI - 15fixed + 0-10% Variable + 4LJB (retention bonus) 2. Sr security Analyst - AWS IAM - Sony India software centre - 17.5fixed + 3L Variable. Im very much interested in AWS Developer role but scared of WLB at Deloitte. Sony have a very good reviews and pay also better only concern here it is cloud security and limited to only AWS IAM.
If I apply for an EA role with Amazon AWS, what’s the best way to get my resume reviewed out of the hundreds of applicants that have already applied? Using LinkedIn, it shows how many have applied for a role just through their site and I’m guessing not everyone’s resume gets looked at. Thanks in advance! Amazon Amazon Web Services

I just hit $200k NW and it’s been 7 months since I made my post (link below) about hitting $100k NW in Dec ‘21.
I’m just mind-blown since it took me 2.5 years to get the first $100k and it’s snowballed from there. I’ve gone from $82.5k TC to $238k TC plus a $20k appreciation on a house I bought at the beginning of the year
Can’t really talk about finances with friends/family so this is the only place I can share milestones like this haha…we’ll see if I can hit $300k by EOY

Who’d have thought green was bad? 😩😩😩

BA > C > SC > M > SM > Income Partner > Equity Partner or BA > C > SC > Lead > Senior Lead > Director.
It’s also possible to go to Partner after Director, but it’s not the typical path
Or specialist > senior specialist > lead > senior lead > director.
Chief
Director: In between SM and Partner; role that gives you time to either decide whether you want to go for partnership or you want to stay at that level and focus on delivery. Not all SM go to Director prior to Partner.
Think of it as a half step.
like D1 said, a role that gives you time to decide if you want to pursue P… you know you’re better than SM, not sure if ready for the big jump though, so you still get more money and responsibilities while you figure it out.
People on the specialist/lead track are usually those aiming for D (focus more on delivery)
What are the comp range for Director roles?
F
Director salary ranges can be wide. It comes with perks not offered at SM level
Parking, EA, leadership events, etc. You are treated as leadership.
