I am the only immigrant with an accent in my office and it’s almost a daily thing now that my bosses/coworkers would explain terms to me that I already know. I’d often freeze when they do that because my first reaction is always confused. How do you talk about it with them after the fact especially when it seems like it’s not a big deal to them?

Saw something funny today- a junior crew chief forgot his fire extinguisher for a flight last night so his seniors made him run between helicopters this morning with stick shouting aguamenti to put out imaginary fires while another senior hid and avada kedavra him every once in a while. He would then fall to the ground and wait to be revived just to do it all over again 😂. Tax dollars hard at work. Glad it’s my last day. It’s been a hellava trip.

So I kind of took a break by taking it slow and got a different job. The plan was to recharge and go back. After a few mos, I’m missing the projects and sense of accomplishment, also the environment and people. I have the opportunity to go back to that sort of work again, but I don’t know
