Looking for recommendations to generally upskill my Strategy work (or learn from scratch) — be it courses, classes, books, podcasts, people to follow. For context, I’m a freelance Social Media Manager/Strategist and I came into Ad world via Startups. Throwing myself into learning on the job with more Strategy gigs - but I still don’t feel like I quite know the lingo or best practices or theories.
As a first time PM at a company with no PM structure, I’m finding it difficult to learn good practices and bring myself to “the next level”. Has anyone here had a similar self taught start that made the break through to become a solid senior PM? Anything will help, books, etc.
My teammate is leaving for a new opportunity soon and I will be floating by myself for a few months. Would anyone be able to provide me with any solid books that pertain to our field? I'm open to anything for creative, people manager 101, digital marketing, career motivating, etc. Trying to swim along to find my new normal and be self motivated.
I specialize in nonprofit tax and I’m trying to increase my knowledge in my complex or unusual nonprofits tax issues since I don’t get the exposure that much at work (international activities, private benefit, UBI, etc.). Does anyone have any books or CPEs that they recommend? Or courses that they took that went into detail on this? Most of what I find is more about NFP management skills then the more technical side of it.
Any good books or articles worth reading on product marketing and analytics? I come from more of a technical and general product management background, so I personally feel like I lack on the marketing side. Like Search engine optimization, etc. Thank you.
I am a social person outside of work but my job role has always been technical. I am trying to prepare myself for a management role (either in my current job or through a career change) but have no prior experience managing. Does anyone have tips for preparing for such a transition (books to read, ways to get prior experience, a mindset to embrace)? I have previously been told I'm a different person at the office as i am out socially, which is why I am concerned about the transition
Hi all, I’m looking for ways to develop myself professionally. I would love recommendations or tips on how you continue education in your field to stay relevant and continue to learn about different marketing strategies. Any tips on really good conferences, programs, classes, books, would be so so appreciated. I’m currently a senior manager for local marketing activations on a planned path to become a director. Thank you!

Looking for newer books on management consulting industry/concepts; other than the oft-mentioned, older Lords of Strategy (2010), The McKinsey Way (1999), or The Trusted Advisor (2001). Thank you!
How to ask a startup to share their books with you. Being courted for Manager of S&O role, but don't want to be walking into a sinking ship.
What are some good books you would recommend for someone with an accounting background exploring a move to management consulting and strategy? No MBA.

I’m at the point that I start trembling every time I get an email alert. It’s the little things piling up that is getting to me. The to do list full of, “send emails to X about Y,” “follow-up re this,” “revise the 100 small things the baby lawyer drafted.” Tasks that might take 15 minutes to an hour individually, but all together it’s a lot. I’m the bottle neck. I’m the one who needs to move these things along. But there’s always something bigger and more urgent. Nothing’s ever FINISHED.
