In the summer? A long weekend is sufficient. 1) Baseball game of your choice + drinking, 2) beach day + grant park or millennium park, 3) museum of choice, street festival, architecture stuff
If you have never been to Chicago, maybe a weekend max. Zero days if you have.
3-4 days if you want to checkout a few places in suburbs like botanic garden, etc.
Depends on what you’re doing. But to have the best possible experience in the summer months, I would recommend five days at least.
People are so dramatic about crime in this city.

It’s a crime scene here wouldn’t recommend
Lol you wanna care about crime now when it hits Lincoln Park. North Chicagoans are a joke.
Just be careful not to get shot. I avoid leaving my home at night.
2-3 days.

Totally depends but highly recommend the Blackstone
We were there 5 days. Aquarium, Science Museum, Art Museum, Field Museum, Magnificent mile, ChinaTown, Grant Park just to name a few attraction. We stayed at Schaumburg.
Please don’t stay in Schaumburg OP lol, that’s a solid 1+ hour drive into the city. It’s a boring airport suburb, no reason to go there unless you have family there or something

3 days is probably good, but longer isn’t bad either. There’s so much to do in Chicago
Thank you all!!
Would august be too hot to go?
August is boiling and humid. I recommend September.

I’d recommend choosechicago.com to gauge your interests
At least 3, since the first and last days will involve some type of ORD delay/nightmare
