Can someone travel to US with a stamped Canadian Student Visa? My brother is moving to Canada for studying and I'd like for him to have a 1-2 week pitstop in US. US consulate shows temporarily closed for a B1/B2 visa. Appreciate any inputs from fellow desi bowl members.

OP - just to clarify, US visa does not allow you to visit Dubai or Canada.

like

Mexico also allows you to enter with an US visa - it’s okay to check

Thank you! It was a genuine question knowing the screwed up world of Visa. I know US Visa let's you visit a few countries like Dubai or Canada. I asked to see if there's some reciprocity and any pretty much provisions. For those who found it funny.

We want to go to Thailand with our 1 year old in Nov; however, we have been told we are crazy multiple times. We would hire nannies once there, but obviously it’s a bit scary with COVID (though when we mentioned the trip to our pediatrician, he seemed more concerned about the 20+ hour travel time. We are flying business, if that helps). Could anyone provide perspective on how you might consider whether to cancel? Should we do something else (e.g. Europe, Mexico, etc.). The trip is 2+ weeks long

Am I too old? Too old to chase a wild dream of living in a beach town? Too old to follow a hunch? Too old to sell everything and start over somewhere else? Some days I feel like I am. With parents in failing health and a grandpa that is lonely most of the time, I feel obligated to stay here. To keep living the life that “makes sense”. I’m 32 single, no kids, own my home, essentially have life by the tail. I live an hour from where I grew up. Feel like I don’t fit in with my friends anymore…
