Hi Guys, I need help. I just got out of my CPA exam on Monday and got a call from India that my grandfather passed away. It’s been very touchy for my family in India and I want to go back to be there for them. However, I’m not sure if I would be allowed to come back even though I have a valid status. I am currently on my OPT which expires in January, after which I plan to go back for my masters. If I go to India next week, just for a month and come back in August, before my OPT expires, would I
Yes
P2: It’s not like All or nothing rule. They filed my previous extension in non-pp, but filing my current extension in pp. I did not have a preference in either way but they decided it. And, they did not plan to file my i140 in PP, but I wanted to, so I paid that expenses out of pocket. So few things go into consideration for them. I am from PwC too
Yes. You’ll have to pay via your immigration lawyers who filed your petition.
Please discuss with your lawyers or your firm’s immigration team.
Awesome, thanks both
