Can the president pardon himself for crimes he hasn’t yet been accused of?

A self pardon has never been tried but there’s no law against it. It would really be up to SCOTUS on whether it would be valid.

like

He can indeed. A president can pardon someone (including himself) for any crimes already committed, even unspecified. Nixon was pardoned for “any and all” crimes relating to the watergate scandal, not anything specific. However he cannot do it for any future crimes, and importantly he can only do it for federal crimes- so the state of NY can charge him with the whole kitchen sink and he can’t stop it.

Trump is going to resign then Pence will become president and pardon Trump. Lol

I think Biden will quietly have his justice departments stand down on any trump investigations or prosecutions. Keeping trump in the news will be bad for Biden.

And opens up his own family dealings in China by going after Trump. Biden isn’t one to want to throw stones.

PS Those who want Trump charged. Trump beat Hillary. Just get over it already. he will be out soon and in 10 years it won’t really matter.

Nixon’s Justice Department determined a president could not self pardon. It’s completely unknown if it would be allowed, but it would end up at the Supreme Court.

Never been a fed. I've heard that once you make a cert (e.g., GS-13) the gov can bring you in at the same pay as you were making in industry (match base pay) as long as you have pay stubs and the pay falls within one of the steps for that grade... Is this true??? Agency dependent?
