I’m in my first tech corporate job as a Project Manager, I have some previous experience at smaller firms. I am wondering what it a normal/good relationship with your manager? Is it normal when there isn’t a lot of guidance and the manager just doesn’t put in a lot of effort to establish their expectations and help give guidance especially in your first few months? It’s been hard to understand what she wants, getting 1-1 or at times even getting response to my messages/feedback.

So here's where I'm at....I have a job that's VERY stable but a manager that well, manages poorly. The manager is there for the foreseeable future, there is no room for promotion or a possible shift change for another 2-4 years. Opportunity is seemingly presenting itself elsewhere, but I'm worried about the stability of the new place. I've seen that they just had workers retire after 35-40 years and the reviews are at 82% recommended work place. My goal is to get to 1st shift. Thoughts?
