I left Education and started on my software company's small Automation team October 2019. Our immediate supervisor/head of QA left Thanksgiving. Now my only other team member put in his notice. My company doesn't have QA pay levels and my title is inaccurate (JR QA Analyst). I am told to research what I feel my salary should be and dicuss with new head of QA after they start in a couple weeks. I think I’m done. I’m coming up on my first year in September. There’s nothing horrible about this job. It’s definitely luck of the draw depending on who you work for in terms of how miserable you are, and I’ve been lucky. Great firm. Great people. There is just nothing about this job that inspires me. I dread getting assignments. I don’t feel like a lawyer. I don’t feel like I’m helping anyone. I don’t feel challenged. I’m just, dead inside. Anyone have stories of life after biglaw?

Are there any parents of young kids (toddler age or a little older) that actually feel somewhat well-rested? What’s your secret? What do you outsource? My partner and I both work in boutique/bordering-on-big-law-firms and our billing requirements are somewhat reasonable, not astronomical. We have a 15 month old (who usually sleeps through the night now), and we outsource a lot: full time nanny (45 hrs a week), housekeeper 1x/wk, and often instacart groceries. Still perpetually exhausted
