20 lakhs ctc is good compensation for 8 years experienced female candidate in tcs? Current ctc is 16.5 in cognizant. Yes I know it's not even a 30% hike but I heared tcs have some limit and they won't pay more than their budget level. Initially they said they can offer 23 ctc and 1 lakh joining bonus. Then it was rejected from corporate. I want work life balance in top priority. Is it good to join tcs or should I look for counter offer??

Do others feel lonely in their roles? I moved in-house from a firm a few months ago, and while I recognize that the virtual nature of the work is a huge factor (I haven’t yet met my coworkers, so it’s harder to make friends), I also am in a small legal department where everyone is far more senior than me, so I don’t have any camaraderie. I’m glad to not only be working with lawyers (like at my firm), but I do miss the ease of having peers with whom I could easily make friends and chat.

Are there any in house entertainment roles that are particularly good? Netflix is obviously FAANG but I’ve heard the culture is cutthroat. On the other end of the spectrum, heard the traditional TV networks pay terribly. Any other options? What about in house music roles? Is that a thing?

Has anyone price compared the cost of braces vs invisalign with insurance? My insurance company is telling me it’d be the same cost for both as the negotiated rate for both are the same. In other words the dental rate for invisalign is $7K while the rate insurance allows them to charge is $5k (I’m guessing the dental rate for braces is higher than $5K and therefore would still get me down to $5K).
