I get the need to hit different targets.
I get that clients want metrics ASAP.
I get that “generating buzz” is the name of the game.

But why the order of: release full spot online -> hope for traction/buzz -> spend millions run it during SB -> hope for...buzz 2.0?

Why not: tease as needed -> drop SB spot -> follow up buzz/chatter tactics?

TTC for ~2 years now. We Saw a obgyn and more recently an RE as well. They conducted all possible tests ( semen analysis , HSG , thyroid , ultrasound, genetic screening etc) and there is nothing wrong. At a loss to understand why we haven’t been able to get pregnant. So I've heard from a bunch of people that working as a Product Designer at a FAANG company isn't as glamourous as people make it out to be.

Is there any truth to this? Or is it just bitter people who didn't get hired?

I've heard the work life balance is tough, and that people usually leave after less than 1.5 years because the churn is crazy.

Is it worth going for FAANG companies or nah?

Graphic designers: What are the biggest differences in agency work vs in-house, in your experience? What do you like/dislike about both?

I currently lead a team of UX consultants working at an enterprise client. Recently, the consulting company got another enterprise client asking for a single UX resource and I am seriously considering it to diversify my experience. My concern is because this is a one UX resource request, leaving my current leadership position to become an Agile team feeding, UI-producing consultant. What are the questions you ask the client before you switch to another billable project to mitigate such risks?

I'm currently in the process of looking for new work. I've scaled it to be around 6-8 months before I can leave. I have so many projects on me and never enough coverage to even take a weeks pto. I feel immense guilt if I put in two weeks and call it quits. Yet I have people booking me months in advance for work, without consideration if I'm doing okay. My pto is always maxed out and I'm burned out. I love the work that I do just not my company's treatment of its employees.
