I hear at EY they have a special meal deal for pancakes and waffles.

EY FAQ for WFH states that overtime meals during the weekdays can be expensed if you work over 10 hours for that day. For the weekends, you get a meal if you work over 5 hours. Check your EY Daily News.

Lol everyone getting defensive @ P1. When I was in PA, the rules were specifically laid out that the OT meals were to be consumed at the client or office since you were working late,so you could technically not eat at home. I get that it is somewhat a 'reward' and I can't say I didn't grab food on my way back home from a long day, but unless there have been changes to these rules, I would be very wary of charging meals w/o talking with the engagement manager

Yes, at EY you can if you’ve worked more than 10 hours. It’s taxable though.

like

If it’s taxable, then I’m assuming it’s some kind of in-house benefit being provided by EY; billable expenses aren’t taxed. Beats me though; if I see expenses on my projects right now, I will have a lot of questions.

Technically yes but I think it’s absurd

like

Yes at EY you can expense meals, taxable to yourself.

No

No way. If you are at Deloitte please do not charge meals at ot

I believe only in the office. WFH wouldn’t apply.

It’s not illegal, but it’s frowned upon

For well being subsidy it is mentioned - "Eligible professionals who resign from or whose employment is terminated for cause by Deloitte USI have an obligation to reimburse the portion of the Subsidy received for a period not worked, as determined by Deloitte USI." What does it mean for people who will be resigning soon or those on notice period?

I’m starting as a Junior at a new firm and, in addition to the home office set up they provide, they also give a $500 IT stipend. Does this typically cover desks? And do stipends typically get disbursed as a $500 check or they reimburse specific purchases? And if it’s the latter, would they cover purchases made before the start date? I’ve already asked HR a lot of questions and I don’t want to keep pestering them to avoid a rep for being that annoying associate before I even start lol. Thx!
