Do you have the resources to bring in a consultant? That might be your best bet if you have that much to get straightened out!

I'm an HR Manager at a social services, non-profit. We're faith-based on top of all that, so you can imagine our recruiting challenges!

We use Clear Company as our applicant tracking system. We pay less than $1500 annually, and the platform posts out to all the major job boards (Indeed, Zip recruiter, etc.) If your org can swing it, consider adding a subscription to Recruiter Lite to your personal LinkedIn. It was somewhere in the $1300-1400 range, but you'll have access to do custom searches for candidates and message those folks.

For certain specialty positions, we have used recruiters or headhunters. They are not cheap! But sometimes a necessity.

Lastly, I'm not sure how high your staff engagement is or how healthy the culture, but referrals continue to be our absolute best source of candidates. If you haven't already, consider implementing a small referral bonus to motivate the employees.

Thank you so much for your response! I have to look into your recommendations. I know headhunters and recruiters are probably out of the question but worth looking into!!!

Staff referrals are our #1 as well... however still so tough out there right now and sadly we are one of the higher paying human service agencies in the area!

Consider hiring a consultant and use an applicant tracking system.

I have been with my current company for about 3 years now and currently at 75k plus employer paid benefits and decent pension plan. Due for review next month and expecting to be offered a 5k raise. However with 6 years of relevant experience I would like to be close to 85k. We hireda new team member for the same role as me as the business is growing. They came in at 75k which bothered me a little because I pretty much began this department and put in a lot of processes. More in comments.

What do you think is a reasonable salary for an AS starting at a new agency? Was an AE in their previous role. NYC. Almost 4 years experience on 360 clients at a big agency.

First few weeks at my role: I tend to be very nervous prior to meetings, hence I haven't been putting up my best performance (although the team has been saying I am doing great). I just have so much to learn in order to be up to speed and it's stressing me out. Any advice on taking it easy and enjoying my life?

I recently started (5/mo ago) at a new agency and everything is a 180 from my last role and I’m honestly getting discouraged. Everything from pitching style and media approach to the types of clients (I was told in the interview process I was going to be working with some clients but that has totally shifted) and I feel like my experience and expertise is both not valued and ideas shot-down at every turn. How can I turn this experience around?
