Can we use work phones abroad? I am taking a vacation but need to take a client call around the same time I land at destination. Can I just dial in to the call business as usual assuming It’s 1 hr?

You’re on vacation, dude. Just leave your work at home.

100% agree

Yup, have done it many times. Let the project know you will be charging them any overages and you should be good.

Technically not allowed

If there’s a client reason for taking the call, why wouldn’t this be allowed

I’ll be in transit, how else can I join the meeting? If there isn’t WiFi I’ll have to use roaming if they want me to join...

Isn’t their a Deloitte bowl? The BCG answer is “yes, of course. “

*there

Give your manager a heads up and get approval to charge in the cost of the call. Work it out with your provider. Cost of roaming call / min * length of call. Estimate cost and get sign off.

Check your bill. On mine, I have a certain amount of international coverage.

What is this, West Monroe Partners? Absolutely not.

Can we work abroad?

Help! Applying to a job and one of the only real requirement is to show how I’m “adept at understanding client needs, and designing and implementing creative solutions”. My issue is I work in risk advisory and most of our client engagements don’t actually involve implementation. We usually present our findings and recommendations and move on. What’s the best way I can tackle this? I’m coming up blank and the deadline is soon.

How do I divide the chores in this case? I’m the breadwinner - husband has been taking time off from work. No kids. Two dogs. I feel like I do more chores because there are some things that I just can’t stand. Like dishes left in the sink, dirty floor, dirty dogs, laundry…etc. When I ask him to do those chores, he says he will do them later but he takes forever. So I do them instead. He does grocery shopping, yard work, some cooking. Is it unfair if I repeatedly ask him to do more? 😡😡

Is this dress appropriate for a firm holiday party with an “after 5 cocktail attire” dress code? I thought the neckline might be a bit risky but I don’t have much going on in the chest area so no cleavage really lol…I’m also the date and not the employee if it matters. Thanks!!

Working in my office used to be my primary source of work outfit inspiration but since working remote staying aware of what styles are in is nearly impossible. I live in a smallish town, so going out doesn't help fill in that awareness gap. Are there any online communities or slack communities where people talk about and share style inspiration I can wear at work? I'm 28, work in tech, and my office is a start up, so attire is casual. I'd also be interested in brands people follow.
