Any advice on applying for a STD just before starting a new project? I don’t want to mention anything before it’s approved but also feel extremely guilty
Hired as a Director into consulting but the client wants me to become "Chief of Staff" to his functional area. Should I consider that a demotion or promotion? Didn't really sign up for staff augmentation. Large part of my team is inept and the program is failing in areas. (Paper Lion title I never really had a chance to direct anyone.)
Just got rolled off a client for dui on my background check. Is this the end of my good reputation at the firm?

Lots of us are skilled at delivery but most sales books seem to focus on the pitch and closing... What are your best resources for learning to develop and nurture strong, lasting client relationships?
Panicking and need some guidance. Currently on a project where I serve a SME for a specific system for overall gap analysis across modules. CAL however has somehow looped me into leading discussions in areas I have no experience in. Fortunately there is time to buffer and align expectations on Monday. How could I convey being extremely uncomfortable with leading the discussion and also save face? Only caught wind of what was actually happening when I digged into the invites provided
EYers is it appropriate to ask your counselor for LOR if you’ve recently switched and only known them for 6 mon? Other option is a manager who i work with on and off on my current project for 8 mo..
What are the differences in job duties between an Analyst and Consultant at Deloitte? This will likely depend on industry and project but i’m trying to get an idea.
I've been working in pharma for 5 years and was promoted to AD in 2019 without a pay raise. I am looking for new opportunities now since I'm underpaid. I have strong client relation and leadership skills. Should I be looking for mid or senior level positions? Is senior AD the next level?
I’m trying to make the jump from agency > platform (not FB…more like Spotify or Twitter etc.). I work with reps at these places as part of my job, but technically their loyalty is to my clients (the ones spending $ on their platform), not to me, working at the client’s creative agency. So it feels weird asking them for a recommendation or referral, but that would obviously be easier than applying on the jobs site... How do I utilize my “network” without making things awkward?
First project & ive been given ownership of a small work deliverable. I feel as though I’m not performing despite the positive feedback from my superiors. Feel as though they are just being nice & come time for feedback/review I’ll get smoked. The temptation to go way above and beyond after hours/weekend is creeping in. Any advice?
How do I know if I’m just stupid or my mental health is affecting me? I’ve recently found myself struggling at work. It all started when I had to prep slides for a client training shortly after I rotated into a new seat. I spent a lot of time reading but couldn’t understand anything. Then there was another research task which I also struggled with (reading but not processing) that made me doubt my capability. I had depression/anxiety last year but thought I recovered. (cont.)
I recently Accenture just been few months, initially my training started in Java domain and then suddenly they put me in a development project and the technology is PHP. The KT session was not upto the mark and not getting good resources to study , also having an offer from KPMG KGS for analyst in Risk Advisory service. Should I make a switch?

Asked my coach who to talk to regarding asking D to match an offer and he told me not to even ask (for reference I would go to PPMD but just started new project and have no relationship). Who should I take this up with?
I'm working on an account that consists of 3 other agencies, each one has it's own project manager. One of the lead PMs developed the timelines for 2019 campaigns and all the rest of us are to (contd)
Anyone out there have/had a baby and worked a job? Full time? Part time/project based etc ? What did you do and how did you make it work?
Is there supposed to be a process to determine if a project is a good fit? Feeling as though my firm regularly throws people onto engagements who have skillsets unrelated to what the role demands
Has the B4 annual exodus started yet?

Besides CISA, what are good certifications for someone in IT Audit Advisory group to have?
How much $$ are firms are willing to pay for a consultant with 3 YOE? It seems like a lot of firms are on a craze to hire and poach talent. Trying to judge how much I can negotiate with a lateral move (Big 4), and whether it's worth leaving my very comfortable environment right now. Would appreciate your input - thanks in advance!
Question from a newbie consultant - What are some good online courses/ books to improve consulting skills?
Why’s it called FAANG and not like FAMAG or something? In my opinion I hardly ever find anyone who’s able to switch into Netflix whereas Microsoft is still a top tier tech firm and is always hiring undergrads and even non tech folks
Anyone have perspective on how MBB (specifically Bain) benefits are better than big 4? I heard Bain contributes 4.5% of salary to your 401k regardless of any employee contributions, which is great. Any other big perks that make their benefits package superior to others (eg. Big 4)?
If applying for different non tech positions, do I need different resumes? Should I include a cover letter as well?
Controversial question - would you support a program where the gov pays say 20k if you decide to get sterilized with no kids? And maybe 15k if you have 1 and so on? You should have to be 21 years old to make the decision. Feel like it would be a way to help pull some out of poverty and can make a better life for themselves and if they already had a kid for their kid as well and would help prevent generational poverty.
Hi! Does anyone work at OBERLAND? If so, I would love to grab coffee with you and hear more about the culture there. Please DM me!!
Received an offer from McKinsey & Company and am super stoked to join, but I’m getting quite criticized in my personal life for the decision mostly because of the public image of the firm. I get where they’re coming from, but figured most of the consulting industry was like this, not just McKinsey, and strategy work is what really interests me. Any tips on how to deal with it?
Made my first big, client-facing mistake today. Almost made it a year without one, but alas. Embarrassed and nervous about fallout, especially in the time of layoffs. Say a little prayer for me.
Haven't prepared for a technical interview in some time. Any suggestions? Role is data science consulting
