Whenever I need a new suit I just don't pack it and expense at the mall by client

like

No. But many of us buy one then return it the next week...

like

Yeah if I forget iPad I just expense a new one

like

Phone charger or laptop charger? If it's a laptop charger you can just get the nearest ITS to next-day ship it to you

like

Absolutely not. Client should not have to pay for your forgetfulness. Would buy and return it at the end of the week

like

You can expense up to $250 per device.

like

Use GAA and put that you lost it. Yes, you can, I have done in the past, but it's always easier if you can go through your local IT office if this happens again.

Can't we expense up to $200 of tech/phone stuff per year?

like

If you don't expense, remember to deduct from taxes!

like

R u kidding, yes you can expense it - not to the client though.

like

They're not DD, so if it's a Mac they're a partner and wouldn't be worrying about expense policy or an $80 charger

like

They have about 500 chargers at any given time

Fuck yes

Yes I've done it before

C1: share more?

D6- per device? Where are you getting this?

How is a new charger $80? For phones, we get massive accessory discounts with phone companies, WMT sells them for $9, and for laptops any IT desk in the US will give you a loaner.

@D3 it's in the expense policy on DNet

Sounds like a laptop charger. Also, is it by any chance a Mac? Don't think most ITS desks have MBP chargers to loan.

I'm switching jobs and considering whether I want to roll over my 401(k). I have about $220k in my plan. Considering rolling it into an existing Fidelity IRA with a balance of about $50k. Since October of 2020, I've paid about $880 in "plan administrative fees" to my 401(k) provider as well as the fund expense ratios. It looks like Fidelity does not charge administrative fees on IRA accounts, so that seems to make it a no brainer, plus the investment options are much broader. What am I missing?
