I did BME undergrad and there were 0 entry level jobs. This was in 2015. Ended up working at JPM as a systems engineer 🤷♂️
Back in 2010, at the height of the recession, a college friend of mine nabbed a BME job about 6 - 8 months after graduation.
Not sure how much the market has changed, but sure it can still be done.
This was a decade ago so times may have changed, but back then I wouldn’t have recommended. The grads I knew had a harder time finding entry level engineering job compared to other types of engineers
I have a friend who did BME and is now a Sr. Mgr at ACN... similar story but a mentor and she’s a partner at EY (she was a partner at ACN first).
Most BME majors I know haven't really gone into BME ironically
Many end up in med school
My friend who complete her Masters in Biomedical in 2018 got a job in 2019.
Also I did my Bachelors in Biomedical and worked in IT and then did MS in IT.
I also did BME undergrad and the job market was meh. That being said, BMEs in my school had no issues findings jobs in consulting, PM, etc.
