Legally, it’s an at will employment situation, and they can pull an offer at any point for any non-protected reason. If you come off like an ass when you negotiate, or they just don’t like your attitude, or they are having a bad morning, they can rescind
Technically they can pull an offer anytime, but most reputable companies wouldn't do that for a negotiation. Worst case scenario they say this is the best offer and you accept or decline. If they pull it for opening a discussion you prob don't want to work there anyway.
Legally, once you counteroffer the original is null and void. I don’t know what’s common, tho
@D1 alright good. So most big 4 firms aren't going to pull for negotiation? In only trying to negotiate 1-3k more anyway.
I’ve had a potential employer pull an offer after I tried to negotiate. So yes, it does happen.. it was a small privately owned company though... I imagine larger companies won’t be as petty
Risking a good offer for 1-3K - Cmon.
3000 /24 = 125 / Paycheck n literally 80$ post tax. Too big of a risk for 80$ a Paycheck ?
