Articling student in Canada (8 month internship with potential hireback), currently doing transactional work. I’m WFH and having a hard time building relationships with partners. I’m friendly/chat with associates and am on great terms with one partner who gives me work often, but not much else. The firm “encourages” reaching out to partners to chat, though I’ve tried and been essentially ignored. Partners rarely have enough time to give me feedback, so I feel they don’t have time to chat.

I joined IBM around year ago.
i have 9 YOE and i was given band 7A saying its lead role.
However in project i was treated as team member l. Initially i was okay as i thought i will be familiar with environment and later will take more responsibility.
But then they gave me release after few months.
No hike also this year.
Future also seems unclear as i feel low self-esteem seeing collegues my experience earning well and having better roles.
I really think joining IBM was wrong decision.

Recruiters constantly reach out to me on LinkedIn, ask for my CV and say my ‘experience fits perfectly for X role’ - then they disappear into the void after that. What is with that?! Should I reexamine my CV or just put it down to another recruiter filling in their quota of hires they had to present to client?

From the benefit policy documentation, my understanding is that EY reimburses employees for surrogacy / adoption related expenses up to $50k lifetime. So I say this with complete humility and an understanding that this is a fortunate-ish situation to be in. I’m in a position where I am tied to nothing, I have no children, spouse, or house. My job, which I’ve loved until some recent significant leadership changes, is sucking the life out of me and I think it may be time for a change. Need advice! I’m currently interviewing for an account executive role and there’s a couple of red flags that have come up. 1. They aren’t able to tell me when I would have to relocate for the remote role I applied for. 2. Midway through the interviews—-the team decided to bump me down to a level lower which changes the base salary and commission. The recruiter is also unable to disclose why the team made that decision which makes me uncomfortable. What would you recommend?

Hello! Looking for general feedback on base salary for AVP in FP&A in insurance?

Has anyone ever asked to renegotiate their salary after starting a job? I’m 2 months into my new job and I have far more responsibilities than what I was told. It’s a lot different than what was relayed in the posting and during the interviews. Additionally, they hired my counter part in as a senior manager which is at least $30k more than what I make. My peer has more experience so I expect that but I feel that I should be paid more, however I don’t want to leave a bad impression… any advice?

Hate: getting assigned bulks from others and it throws off efficiency of reviewing suits, monotony, depositions
