Can you name drop clients in an interview (if asked)? Assuming they are public and obviously not divulging sensitive information

It’s fine if they’re publicly traded. If you decide to do this, be 100% sure that you don’t divulge any information that is not publicly available. I’d recommend being more vague e.g. “large, publicly traded manufacturing company”

like

No reason you can't. Just don't spill nonpublic information.

I’d be more vague. Retail company with 5 bn in revenue, manufacturing company with a market cap of…

I name drop

I name dropped my public clients. Just don’t mention no public info. I think it was helpful for them to have a better idea of what experience I had.

Dear Fishes... I am currently interviewing with SAP... HR round and salary negotiations pending...

My original package is 15.2 LPA with Wipro... 13 YOE... infra and cloud architect...

I hold an offer of 28 LPA with Oracle...

Secondly... Will SAP ask for offer letter to cross verify..? I am not too comfortable sharing the offer letter with HR or anyone....

Kindly provide your insights...

Hi all. I am an academic, who is fed up with academia. I am very much determined to find my way into industry. I have a PhD in cs, a good publication record and a couple of awards. I have applied for Research Data Scientist roles in Meta (UK), but I'm not sure my application gets seen without a referral ( got interviews from Amazon and IBM without referralls though). I tried to reach out to recruiters, but no response. So my question is: do I really need a referral? Or is it cv problem?

This would be my dream job, can you guys help me understand what areas I should concentrate in this situation. Is there Anybody with prior experience ?

Have any of you approached your employer for reimbursement for being asked to use your phone at work? Specifically things like texting your boss while they are in court? I started a new job and am trying to set boundaries but this is one that I cannot set as it is standard practice. In our state, an employer must reimburse you if they direct you to use your personal phone for work. It seems petty, but I’m trying to (rightfully) cash in on something that I would rather not have to do.

Hi everyone!
I have interviews coming up at BD in Maryland and, coming from the hospital world, I have no clue what salary to ask for. The position is a scientist/quality role for microbiology research and development. For context, I have 4 years of experience in a hospital blood bank and am a certified Medical Laboratory Technologist. I was thinking in the 65-70k range, but the recruiter made it seem like that was easily attainable so I’m worried I’m asking too low. Would 75-80k be do-able?

I feel so low. I got laid off in 2020 and have been working at a job that is heavily underpaid and work isn’t challenging either. I started applying for jobs and started interviewing actively. Interviewed with a really good company recently that would help me advance my career. I just wrapped up my last round on Friday and received an email this afternoon saying that the feedback has been really strong/positive. I take this to be positive news.
