Can you negotiate your salary bump when you get a promotion? Have never been in the position before but hoping one’s around the corner soon...

You would need to start proactively discussing the expected salary increase well before you actually get the promotion. By the time you get promoted and the raise is decided and told to you, it’s done

Absolutely. If you’ve earned it, you should give yourself the opportunity to be at the table to discuss the terms. Often times companies don’t give if people don’t step up to ask for what they earned. Not saying it’s right but that’s how it goes

anything is negotiable but you have little leverage.

Found out that the other AE on the team I work on is making a significant amount more than me. How do I approach my director about possibly increasing my salary to be equal? For context, I technically have been an AE longer as she recently got promoted from AAE. She’s also new to the team I work on and from what I’ve been told, will be doing the exact same work.

Gearing up towards salary negotiations, I've got 2 YOE and 66.668$ TC as a consultant with no benefits. My role description has changed quite a bit since I started and I'm now the only colleague with a qualified QA degree in my team. I am considering putting forward a proposal of a 25-30% increase to match my role as QA lead, is this to bold?

If I move into a financial analyst position after two years of audit experience (and 1 promotion) will i likely start at the bottom of the totem pole? Trying to get an idea of what my salary would be. I feel this role is kinda critical for my 20 -30 year plan so I’m willing to start at an A1 position again. any insight here would be great. Thanks

Hey guys! So yesterday, I was in the running for 2 positions in the same division at Goldman Sachs, got invited yesterday to go for a 3rd position after they submitted my HireVue, all of this is in the Salt Lake City office. They came back to me shortly after that saying they were inviting me to a superday next week for all 3 positions. If anyone knows what the next steps are, I’d appreciate any info or insight. Just looking to see what the chances of getting an offer or anything like that.

I was promoted last quarter with a 25% raise but recognized I was still underpaid. I now have an in house job offer that I’m debating taking but am really excited by some new projects on my current accounts. Should I ask my manager if my agency (large PR agency, I’m in NY) can match the additional 25% even though I just got a significant bump?

So my problem is not with Twitter censoring calls for violence or hate speech. They're a private company and follow their guidelines. But why are they selectively applying it? Sure, censor Donald Trump. Why not censor Ayatollah Khamenei? How about Westboro Baptist Church which literally has the handle "@godhatesfagswbc"?
