Spent 7 years in PA with big 4. Really looking to make a change to resource/talent mgt roles with no prior experience (but I do have some transferable skills). Happy to take a step down the career ladder too. Applied to a few openings but all rejected.. any thoughts?

This is my first ever switch in 4+ years of experience from one company to another in a hope to get better pay, with similar responsibilities, upper grade and career-oriented role alinged to my goals.
But I'm not somehow be able to get myself invested/dedicated to the new company and the work. My colleagues are helpful and are experts in their domains; but being a top-tier performer myself, I'm not able to be as productive as I should be (or was).
What should I do to make it right?

I had a call with a team member for a position I'm in the interview process for (soon to have a call with the recruiter). The person seemed passive aggressive during the call and hung up on me before I was able to say thank you for his time or bye. I didn't have my interview yet but I was told that this call is known to the team and the recruiter. Does it seem like I bombed the interview before even having the interview since it didn't end on a good note?
