I have 6 yrs of HR exp, a PHR cert & an HRIP cert. I recently left my role as an HR Rep at a tech co b/c I was working 60+/week and the stress of the job was affecting my health. I recently received an offer at a new tech co that is $10k less than what I was previously making with comments from current EEs that this new co has a better WLB. Total comp is still a lot less than my prev company. Is less comp too much of a compromise for better WLB? What have you compromised for a better WLB?

I have a background in finance and 6+ YOE of professional work experience, I had to leave CA in between due to family emergency and started working (although only 1 group of CA final is left, 1 is cleared already), so can anyone provide an insight if being CA qualified is a mandatory requirement in EY and EY GDS in position of Manager in Accounting, auditing,FAAS,AWM teams etc
Would appreciate any insight, as seems HR everywhere just see degree and not the relevant work ex..

Many #machinelearning algorithms, whether supervised or unsupervised, make use of distance measures.
Take k-NN for example, a technique often used for supervised learning. As a default, it often uses euclidean distance.
By itself, a great distance measure.
Knowing when to use which distance measure can help you go from a poor classifier to an accurate model.

Isn't IT advisory basically audit with a fancy name?
M1 IT Audit is a part of IT Advisory but those are generally roles that CPA students are specialized into. Other areas like RPA, blockchain, risk, cyber fall under IT Advisory as well.
Anything is possible but the chances of success are probably vanishingly small
I personally know an audit senior guy who switched over to S&O Finance as a C and got a 20% salary increase. I’d say if that’s possible, what you want is less of a stretch. He had the balls to cold email the service line leader himself and then proceeded to work on it for a year so it’s by no means easy, but definitely do able. Comes down to getting support from the right partner.
