Company card for food, etc…personal for hotel is ok to use for points.
Cool thanks
McKinsey just emailed me back saying best practice is to use Corporate Card, but I already have an AMEX platinum so really don't want to pay two fees—anyone have a workaround?
Email the finance team and see if they will continue to reimburse….as long as you have a receipt I think it should be fine. But most use firm card as the charge gets auto populated in the expense app. For hotels you can use personal card fir sure. Most folks want their points.

They give you a green Amex corporate for no charge.
I guess I'm wondering how much gets put on the corporate vs. my personal, mainly for the points/benefits. If not much on the corporate, then for sure the no charge green Amex.
Doesn't the firm pay the fee for the corporate card?
Then here's my take on it:
In my country (Australia) the sign up benefits are materially better than the ongoing spend benefits. I church cards for the sign up points (up to 500 us dollars for free). I use my Bain spend to do the required minimum spend (2 weeks for hotels is usually enough). I use my corporate card for all the normal stuff, as they are designed for ease of expense (automatically pulls the spend through, etc), as the ongoing points for dinner and coffee are not worth thinking about.
Usually churn through 2 or 3 cards per year.
So on your case you just got to think about the incremental value of the points on your personal card vs. the simplicity of using the corporate card...
