I received an email today from recruiter asking for a phone interview which I’m so happy to hear from but I applied about a month ago. I moved on and applied internally for a different role as a transfer. This new role is a promotion and my start date is next week. I immediately responded back to the recruiter and agreed to the phone interview for tomorrow 5/4…. Do I mention any of the above to them? Do I tell them I just accepted a new role and different position? Please advise

Does anyone feel that their anxiety symptoms are more physical than mental - e.g. not causing anxious thoughts/dwelling on specific things, but causing anxious feelings? Is this normal? Does therapy help this? Currently on medication but wondering if therapy would help at all.

Renegotiating after accepting an offer? My current employer has updated their offer to retain me well above the offer I accepted at my new employer. Previously they had only matched the new offer, which I declined. Would it be inappropriate to approach my new employer to match the offer? It’s 12 days before start date at new employer.

I took a new job in Q1 as a sales director of a specific industry. My teammates are directors over other industries. They're all men. I'm finding out that they're all being given special treatment and are allowed to do things that I am not, like attend industry events & conferences, being handed RFPs that fall outside of our assigned industries, etc.

How do I handle this? I'm livid and want to call my boss out on his good ole boys club!

Asking for advice- I’ve realized consulting is not the path for me long term and have had plans to quit. I’m currently staffed on a project alone and feel lost as I don’t have much experience in this line of work. Deadline is approaching and I have voiced my concerns to finish in time. Manager is still reviewing my work and the turnaround time to make revisions and finish phase 2 work seems unlikely within a few days. Is it unreasonable to ask for another resource to help finish?

Since the start of the pandemic, I have been fairly safe and really haven’t gone anywhere (I think I went to TJ Maxx once in a moment of weakness lol). My family on the other hand hasn’t taken any precautions and actually did contract COVID. They keep telling me I’m paranoid and need to start going out but with COVID being worse now than it was back in March, I rather just not. I just want them off my back and wish they would respect my decision to not expose myself like I respected them.

Buying a house, if we don’t put 20% down we’ll pay PMI - I was working on backfilling mine and my spouse’s Roth IRAs for 2020 before the deadline of May 17 - have like $2000 to go. Should I put the $2k toward my down payment and get as close to 20% as possible to reduce PMI or should I put it in my Roth IRA still? We know PMI is bad, but we aren’t selling our current house, keeping it as a rental, so it makes sense for our plans and we plan to hammer down the loan with extra payments to drop it
