Canadian 🐟 who have moved back to Canada, what is the best way to handle your 401k, Roth IRA, Plain old brokerage account, and bank accounts? I would personally like to not touch any of these and let them to do their thing in the US till I need the money, but I also want to avoid double taxation on all of these

It’s pretty complicated.... depends a lot on whether you think you will return to the US. https://www.advisor.ca/columnists_/melissa-shin/how-to-bring-401ks-and-iras-to-canada/ If you already have an IRA, might make sense to roll over your 401k into it to simplify things and reduce the risk of getting kicked out of the 401k program once you are no longer in the US

like

Not in Canada but I have rolled over my 401k to IRA, converted schwab brokerage to schwab intl account and use remaining bank account balance to DCA into brokerage account until the bank balance is depleted. You shouldn’t incur taxes on retirement accounts and could minimize double taxation if there’s a treaty between CAN and US

I started working in a agency two months ago, and I have two very big projects running simultaneously. My Creative Director left for paternity leave, and left me with all the work, facing the client, going to shootings, editing. I've been working 15 days straight, no weekends. The agency hasn't given me any back up/someone I can team up with to do the job. Is this normal? I'm used to have a partner, a copywriter or another creative working alongside. Keep in mind that I'm mid-level.

I need some advice on deciding to leave my job. At my current job I’m up for promotion in 5 months and pretty confident I will get the 25% raise, however I’m very unfulfilled and feel like I’m wasting my time staying at the company. On the other hand I have an unofficial offer that will automatically give me that 25% raise in a project I care about, but after discussing negotiations 25% is the cap. Should I stick it out and then jump into the job market for more % raise or leave now?
