The airline should give you flight credit.

like

Exact same situation except I used Amex Plat. Got my refund on Thursday after a week of submission

like

I saw an article that Congress is trying to make airlines give full refunds. But idk if that will be honored by airlines. They’re cash hungry atm.

like

That’s only if the airline cancels the flight, not if you cancel your ticket

I submitted a claim anyway online and selected US gov orders under the options. Hoping that will work. I got this card specifically for this trip and I can't believe they're saying it doesn't apply for this. United tickets are non refundable and they said I can change it but have to complete travel by end of this year

helpful

I really don't want to pick a time to go by end of year and don't want to feel forced into going. I was thinking Sept but then they're cancelling burning man in August. So who the heck knows when is good?

Argue “frustration of purpose” and maybe check to see if there’s a “force majeure” clause anywhere. One of those might apply to at least get you a voucher that ~doesn’t~ expire stupid soon! (In the legal world, they can sometimes be used to excuse or modify contractual obligations. Give both concepts a Google and good luck!)

🎵On the floors of Tokyo Or down in London town to go go With the record selection With the mirror reflection I’m dancing with myself🎵 Hi OP, maybe you’re already getting a voucher. Pretty much all companies worldwide are letting you “refund” tickets by giving you a voucher, even if it was not refundable to begin with. Call them again and ask nicely

Wait until the flight is canceled

My husband of five years is an alcoholic. We have tried therapy and rehab but he refuses to admit he even has a problem. I just found alcohol stashed away in the apartment again. I've known him 10 years and it's an awful long commitment to just throw away. Any flexibility with your workplace you can recommend, or an alternative work schedule?! Want to move away for a few months to clear my head. Any kind of advice is appreciated.
