I am absolutely failing at dating apps. I’ve been on all of them for years with little to no luck. I’ve tried new pictures, different bios, small talk vs asking on dates fairly quickly... I get a match or two per day but in general, they don’t respond. what am I doing wrong?

I recently asked everyone’s age filters on dating apps and there were some mentions of fear of baggage and that’s why you don’t date older than X. What baggage are you afraid of? Ex spouses? Kids from prior relationships? What is it?

I don’t use dating apps for dating. I match w/men & quickly move to text. A week later, we meet. I analyze their psychological makeup, set boundaries (only kissing). They want to meet again. I can’t. So we connect via text/video calls. I show my vulnerabilities, insecurities. They open. Trust is built. Subtly, I help them face their blindspots (mostly emotions little boys are taught to repress). Friendship replaces romance & I gently release them back into the dating pool. This is my work.
