My SO doesn't understand why I work past 5:30 on weekdays. Wfh is terrible for my relationship. Was much easier to just facetime in the evening during my dinner break.

Same here. I’m also pretty influenced by my environment, so even when I’m working at home in my office, it’s hard to convince myself it’s “time to work.” When I step into an office building or other work setting, my subconscious knows it’s time to get stuff done.

I knew it was bad from the beginning because I was supposed to work from PR for a good chunk of 2020

I’ve been over wfh since about last May. Can’t wait to get back on a plane and see my teams and clients.

Love WFH. It's great for the environment, and great for my productivity. I save a TON of money on commuting and food. Not only does it help people avoid COVID, but also other illnesses. If I'm having a bad day or I'm stressed, it's automatically easier since I have space.

New hire starting nov 29! Have a couple of questions: I need to travel for DStart and it starts at 11am on a Monday, could i drive or train in on Sunday night and book a hotel through Deloitte for two nights instead of one? And if I drive in how does Deloitte pay for mileage and do they pay for city parking? And how does expensing meals work? For example, the orientation ends on 5:30pm on Monday and 4pm on Tuesday can we expense dinners after orientation? Sorry for all the questions!

Delta status question. I have silver status but am probably going to miss it by a tiny bit this year. I know it rolls over to next year but will my mqms rollover too? Technically I am silver so they should but also I didn’t meet this years requirements so I could see why they wouldn’t too. Confused by this.

I was just involved in a Teams meeting where it was announced that leadership is now creating a hybrid model. They clearly stated we will not be returning to the office that we left in 3/2020. This was shocking to me! Earliest back in office now set for Oct. More info to come. I was working from home 2 days a week pre covid, so we'll see what happens. I am in MN.

I work in a 7-attorney firm with a national presence. Partly because I’m only a few months in, I work a roughly 8-6 day. I’m also new to billing and often find myself working all day and billing just 4 hours. Whenever I bring this up to the partner, he says it’s good we’re not over billing our client. We don’t have minimum billable hours so it doesn’t matter much for the firm’s sake but I think I’m missing out on learning the important skill of billing my time. Has anyone ever experienced this?
